5 Eye opening tool.

I was having issues lining up my tailstock. I used this bar and an indicator in my toll post, and another top down and the results were an eye opener. Slight variances as I locked the tailstock and as I applied pressure tuned me into how to eliminate those variables. I am extremely pleased with this test bar.

3 Doesn’t work on my lathe
Posted by Barrie B. Strachan on 17th Mar 2021
This gadget is no doubt well made and accurate, but the precision ground ends are only 1/4″ wide. Even with the tailstock ram extended to the max, I can’t indicate on both ends of this thing without resetting something. There goes the accuracy of the setup. If the saddle of your lathe is quite narrow this might work for you. Good luck!
